NOW COMES the citizens of Massachusetts; we demand Massachusetts House Legislation HD4420 be scrapped in its entirety as it blatantly violates the God-given unalienable rights set forth by our US Constitution and its Second Amendment as laid out in the Bill of Rights. Never before has there been a more clearly evident attempt to strip the citizen of their constitutional rights than this legislation. In no way will any of the proposed 2940 lines of this legislation reduce crime or save lives. Its sole purpose is to incriminate law-abiding citizens who choose to exercise their constitutional rights.

 

It has also come to our attention that the Senate is now working on its own version of this bill. The citizenry must take a stand against any further infringements of our second amendment rights; signing this petition is a message to our Representatives that no longer will we tolerate tyranny.

 

We are asking every citizen in the State of Massachusetts to sign on to this petition. We have included links to notes on this legislation put together by GOAL; please note that this legislation is so egregious that GOAL has only listed the tip of the iceberg regarding what is wrong with this legislation. This is just a tiny sample of what is in HD4420 legislation:

 

• Essentially bans hunting on private property.

• Bans anyone under 15 from training or shooting sports.

• Mandatory serialization and registration of all feeding devices, not just magazines.

• Massive training requirements that include things like active shooter training.

• Any changes or repairs to a gun must be approved by and registered with the state.

• A semi-auto turkey gun with a pistol grip will be an Assault Weapon.

• A Ruger 10/22 with a detachable box magazine will be an Assault Weapon.

• No one under 21 can purchase any semi-auto gun of any kind or caliber.

• The definition of "Firearm" would mean any gun, frame, receiver, or barrel.

• Any legally purchased firearms declared an assault weapon by this legislation that is not pre-the 1994 AWB date will be prohibited.

• Concealed carry or transport of any gun will require property owners to post that they consent to allow guns on their property.

• Concealed carry will virtually be illegal in the state.

 

There is so much more in this legislation that is not acceptable in any way shape, or form. We ask you to look through this legislation. It will take considerable time to narrow down sections of the entire MA General Law that is to be altered, so you may understand what they are altering. It is done in such a way as to induce uncertainty. All law is to be clearly written and plain to be understood; the Lawful Citizen Imprisonment Act is not.
